Fast thinker that loves to solve “puzzles”
I love all kinds of complexity; puzzles that I can analyze, problems that I can find a solution for.
Broad interests, always eager to learn
From marketing to web technology, psychology to physics, virtual reality to story telling – I’m always curious and eager to learn something new.
Hypercreative mind
I love and engage in all kinds of creativity. Graphic design, 3D / virtual reality stuff, composing music or singing, theatre and standup, making videos with a drone, writing humorous nonsense news – I’m in!
Love humor & being playful
I don’t take life too seriously. I can often see the humor in situations and like to make a joke. I’m a serious but also playful person, love to be a little crazy, also to lighten up business stuff.
Connection is key
I highly value feeling connected to people I work with. For me that means being compassionate and making an effort to properly understand other people. I’m a big fan of non-violent communication, which I actively practice.
Integrity, honesty and openness
Integrity is one of my most important values. I’m very honest and open. I take my promises and commitments to the people I work with very seriously.
How I think about marketing
Human-centered, making a real connection
There’s an expression, “people buy from people”. For me, that means, staying close to natural ways of interacting with other people; showing up in the world in an authentic, honest and decent way.
I think marketing and sales work best when making genuine connections with others, caring about what other people need and wanting to really help them.
I also believe that proper niching is very necessary in today’s crowded markets. You need to have a clear answer to the question, “who should buy from you and why?”. A solid strategy is the foundation to do that.
Digital, online marketing has become very popular, but for me it’s just one of the tools. I place more value on building networks with partners, turning customers into ambassadors, and making personal connections with clients.
In today’s digital world, I also love video as a way to create actual visibility and do better storytelling.
A little bit about my background
I’m a bit of a “unicorn” – I have a lot of experience in tech roles, but I also do marketing & communication.
Studied psychology & computer science
I’ve shortly studied psychology, before switching to computer science. I still love psychology and other social sciences.
Worked in many technical roles
I’ve worked – and still work – as a full stack web developer, UX designer, scrum master product owner and service manager and know my way around Linux servers.
Becoming an entrepreneur
I always felt that I couldn’t use my talents for strategy and communication in webdevelopment, so I started as an entrepreneur in marketing in 2019. I love being an entrepreneur.
Combining marketing & tech
Although I am mostly focused on strategy & marketing, I still actively work as a developer as well. It’s great to be able to build things and I remain curious about new technology, like virtual reality and AI.
